First time?
How an escape room works.
No experience needed, nothing to study, nothing to bring. Here’s the whole thing, start to finish.
Before you arrive
- Book online. It’s free, and you pay at the venue by cash or card.
- Wear anything comfortable. There’s no running, crawling is optional, and nothing gets messy.
- Phones stay in lockers: the room gives you everything you need.
The briefing
- Your game master walks you into the story: who you are, why you’re here, what’s at stake.
- You’ll learn the house rules and how hints work. Ask for one any time, no penalty, no shame.
- Then the door closes, the clock starts, and the room is yours.
Inside the hour
0:00
The door closes
Search everything. The room teaches you its own language in the first few minutes.
0:15
First breakthroughs
Locks start opening, the story deepens, and your team splits up naturally.
0:40
The squeeze
The threads pull together. This is where teams either talk, or stall.
0:59
The final door
One puzzle left, everyone shouting, sixty seconds on the clock. This is the part you came for.
House rules
- Nothing needs force. If it won’t open, it’s a puzzle, not a workout.
- Everything you need is inside the room. Ceilings, sockets and marked-off areas are not puzzles.
- Emergency exits always work. Step out any time; the clock can wait.
Nervous? Everyone asks these.
What if we get stuck?
Your game master is watching and will nudge you before frustration sets in. Hints are part of the game. Every team uses them.
Are we really locked in?
No. The story locks the door; the building doesn’t. Emergency exits are always available and you can leave at any time.
Will something jump out at us?
No jump scares, no actors, nothing touches you. Our rooms build tension with story and atmosphere, not shocks.
What if we don’t escape?
Then you’ll lose gloriously and immediately want a rematch. Your game master will walk you through what you missed.
